Special Report: Afghan presidential election |

KABUL, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Afghan Defense Ministry on Wednesday denied the reported presence of anti-Pakistan terrorist training centers in Afghanistan.

"Afghanistan would not allow any element to use its soil against neighboring countries to disrupt security there," Defense Ministry spokesman Zahir Azimi said.

Pakistan's Interior Minister Rahman Malik, according to Pakistani media reports, during his visit to Kabul on July 19, raised the issue of the alleged presence of anti-Pakistan terrorist centers with Hamid Karzai.

"In a country where the media is free and over 40 nations have been helping Afghans to bring security, it is impossible to hide terrorist training centers," Azimi responded to Xinhua's query at a press conference.

However, the Pakistani government, according to Pakistani media reports, has prepared a list of terrorist training camps to hand over for the Afghan government.
