Chinese Premier Li Keqiang pays official visits to Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Russia from Nov. 2 to 9. During his stay in Kyrgyzstan, Li will attend the 15th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) prime ministers' meeting in Bishkek, at the invitation of Kyrgyz Prime Minister Sooronbai Jeenbekov. In Astana, Li will attend the third regular meeting between prime ministers of China and Kazakhstan, at the invitation of his Kazakh counterpart Bakytzhan Sagintayev. Li will attend the Fifth Summit of China and Central and Eastern European Countries in Riga, the third leg of his four-state visit, at the invitation of Latvian Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis. He will also attend the 21st China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting in St. Petersburg in his Russia tour, at the invitation of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Engineers and workers from China often have to suffer harsh geological and climate conditions, but are unswerving in their goal of success completion of the project.
