A grand exhibition of treasures from France's Louvre Museum, one of the oldest large museums in the world, was held in Beijing around the Spring Festival. A collection of 126 art treasures from the Louvre, including sculptures, paintings, cultural relics and handicrafts, are on display at the Invention of Louvre exhibition that opened at the National Museum of China on Jan. 13. The exhibition, which is divided into six parts, shows the relationship between the changes to its building clusters and the royal family, between the nobles, artists and collectors of all times, and explores the ways for museums to seek sustainable development and enrich their collections. The exhibition offers self-service guidance via cellphone to visitors. Visitors are able to listen to explanations of the exhibits by following the official WeChat account of the National Museum of China and then sending the numbers of each item on display to the account, or by simply scanning the QR codes identifying each item.
