World's earliest stirrup figure discovered in E China

Recently, a batch of horseback rider figurines was unearthed in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. Archaeological experts discovered the image of a stirrup on one of the figurines, which is less than 20 centimeters in height. This is currently the earliest known stirrup figure in the world, dating back to 271 AD.
